An assumption of liability (AOL) is when a customer wants to take a cell phone number or numbers from a business or personal name and move it to another business or personal name.
There are four types of AOL's.
Personal to Personal
Business to Business
Personal to Business
Business to Personal
Personal to Personal Instructions
Personal to Personal AOL simply call 1-866-212-6653. This number is open M-F 9-7pm.
The person who is interested in releasing the number will start by telling the customer service representative that they are giving up the number. They will answer a few questions and then pass th ephone to the person accepting the number. The person accepting the number will also be asked some questions and when they get off the phone the cell phone number/s will be in thier name.
Business to Businesss Instructions
1.) Simply click on the link below.
2.) Fill out the form. If you are transfering more than one cell number please attach a second sheet to your fax listing the other numbers that are moving from business to business.
3.) Compose a cover letter explaining what you are looking to accomplish. Fax the cover letter to the fax number on the form and include a completed form for each cell phone number your are transfering.
Business to Personal or Personal to Business Instructions
1.) Simply click on the link that you need below.
2.) Fill out the form for as many cell phone lines that you are interested in transfering and save them to your desktop.
3.)Compose an email to vzwwfmbscnortheast@ne.verizonwireless.com
and attach each saved form you filled out to the email. Send the email.
4.) The actual transfer should take between 3-5 business days.
